Sevierville – Dandridge – Bush’s Baked Beans

After our Smartphone workshop, we leave Country Tonite Theater and travel past the TWO First First Baptist Churches, and explore downtown Sevierville, including The Dolly Statue in front of the Sevier County Courthouse, built in1896.  As we continue to Chestnut Hill and Bush’s Baked Beans, we pass (and stop for pictures) The Harrisburg Covered Bridge and Sevier County H.S., Dolly’s alma mater.  Fox Cemetery, (late 1700s) is another stop before we get to the Bush Baked Beans General Store, Museum, and restaurant.  After lunch at Bush’s, we travel to Dandridge, and the second oldest courthouse in the U.S.  In Dandridge, there will be time to enjoy dessert at The Original Tinsley Bible Drug Store (early 1900s) with its original soda fountain and counter.  Across from the drugstore you will find the Jefferson County Courthouse and historical Museum, housing artifacts relating to the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, as well as Old Betsy and more from Davy Crockett.  Our last stop is at Douglas Dam Lookout after a picturesque ride along Douglas Lake.
