Meet Rich Iceland and Jane Iceland, the dynamic duo behind the lens, capturing the essence of the Smoky Mountains one cell phone photo at a time. As the founders and operators of Photo Fast Sightseeing Tours, they’ve cultivated an unparalleled passion for photography and a deep love for the breathtaking landscapes of the Smokies.

With years of experience under their belts, Rich and Jane have become renowned for their expertise in teaching guests/visitors how to elevate their cell phone photography skills amidst the stunning backdrop of the Smoky Mountains. Through their carefully crafted sightseeing tours, they’ve had the privilege of imparting their knowledge to tens of thousands of visitors, empowering them to capture the beauty of nature with nothing more than the device in their pocket.

But their journey extends far beyond the realm of cell phone photography. With a wealth of credentials in the photography industry, including, Rich and Jane bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to every tour they lead.

Rich boasts a BFA from the Rochester Institute of Technology and an MFA from NYU. He has also made a mark as a NASCAR Photographer from 1970 to 2020 on weekends, and as a college instructor at prestigious institutions such as Columbia, Boston College, UNC Raleigh, FSU, UF, Palm Beach State College, and Fairleigh Dickinson University during the week. He is the creator of the Photo Fast photo and smartphone workshops, with over 200 programs and workshops presented by him and/or Jane on Princess, Carnival, Holland America, and MSC cruises.

Jane is no stranger to the world of photography either. She began her career as a NASCAR photographer from 1998 to 2016 and then became a senior presenter of Photo Fast Workshops from 2002 to 2021. Additionally, she has served as a tour guide and historian for Photo Fast Sightseeing Tours from 2005 to 2024.

Beyond the lens, Rich and Jane are avid adventurers who thrive on exploring the great outdoors. Their deep connection to the Smoky Mountains fuels their desire to share its wonders with others, making each tour not just a photography lesson, but a journey of discovery and appreciation for the natural world.
